Kashmiris observe India’s Republic Day as Black Day

People of occupied Kashmir observed India's Republic Day on January 26 as Black Day to convey the message across the world that they do not accept India's illegal occupation of their territory and also to reiterate their right to self-determination.

Peace process to restart!

After unilateral discontinuation of talks by India with Pakistan following the Mumbai attack in 2008 the two countries seem to be once again inching towards resumption of peace process. The foreign secretaries of Pakistan and India are to meet in February on the sidelines of a a standing committee meeting of SAARC in Thimpu.

Solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris

India has been subjecting the people of occupied Kashmir to the worst form of state terrorism for the past several decades particularly since 1989 when the Kashmiris intensified their struggle for securing their right to self-determination and to get rid of Indian bondage.

Kashmir is a prison

An 11-member Indian delegation, which visited occupied Kashmir recently to assess the causes of months of unrest observed that Kashmir is a big prison and that people were striving to get free from it. A member of that delegation belonging to BJP who happens to be an MP observed that during visit to the territory it was observed that the Kashmiris had been kept in a cage like a parrot and were struggling to get free from it. Another member also a parliamentarian regretted that the peoples' representatives had been kept in the dark about the sufferings and misery of the people of Kashmir.
