Kashmir has endangered peace of entire S. Asia: Mirwaiz

Madina Munawara (Saudi Arabia), March 25 (KMS): The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has said that Kashmir is a political as well as humanitarian issue that needs to be resolved in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

The APHC Chairman during his interaction with Kashmiri community in Madina Munawara said that the unsettled Kashmir dispute had endangered the peace and security of the entire South Asia. He said that the Kashmiris living across the world should step up their efforts to highlight the ground situation of occupied Kashmir. The Mirwaiz was accompanied by the Heads of Kashmir Centres in London and Brussels, Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl and Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo.

UN Special Rapporteur to visit occupied Kashmir

Srinagar, March 25 (KMS): The United Nations’ Special Rapporteur, Christof Heyns, along with his team, is arriving in occupied Kashmir on Monday (March 26) on a fact-finding mission to examine situation of extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions.

Shutdown in Sopore against custodial killing

Srinagar, March 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown continued for the third consecutive day, today, in Sopore town against the custodial killing of a youth.

The youth, Sajjad Ahmed died on Thursday at Soura Hospital in Srinagar where he was shifted from Sub-jail Kupwara after he complained severe headache.

The family members of Sajjad demanding probe into his death told media men that he was not provided medical care at appropriate time. They said that he was complaining headache for past one and a half month and was not provided with treatment despite repeated requests of the family.
