2 Defence Ministry officials suspended in Srinagar land scam

New Delhi, March 29 (KMS): Two officials of Indian Defence Ministry have been suspended for being involved in a land scam in Srinagar.

AJK-APHC expresses concern over HR violations in IHK

Islamabad, March 29 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chapter has expressed serious concern over the continued human rights violations in the occupied territory by Indian government and the occupation authorities.

Talks on Kashmir can succeed in congenial atmosphere

Jeddah, March 29 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that no talks process on the Kashmir dispute can succeed without creating a congenial atmosphere in occupied Kashmir.

These views were expressed by the APHC Chairman in his meeting with the Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Professor Ekmeldin Ehsanoglu, in Jeddah. He said that India should withdraw all draconian laws including the Armed Forces Special Powers Act from the territory.

Ehsanoglu agrees to expand contact group on Kashmir: APHC

Srinagar, March 29 (KMS): The Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Professor Ekmeldin Ehsanoglu has agreed to the suggestion put forward by APHC Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq about the expansion of the OIC contact group on Kashmir.

APDP stages sit-in against enforced disappearances

Srinagar, March 29 (KMS): The Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons staged a silent sit-in protest at Municipal Park in Srinagar to demand probe into the enforced disappearances and unmarked graves in the occupied territory.

Gilani refuses security from Delhi police

Srinagar, March 29 (KMS): Veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has refused to take security from Delhi police, saying that he cannot accept the offer as entire population of occupied Kashmir is exposed to Indian state terrorism.

A spokesman for the forum, patronised by Syed Ali Gilani, quoting the veteran leader told media in Srinagar, “More than seven lakh Indian troops have forcibly occupied Kashmir, which has put the lives of common citizens at risk. Therefore, I have no reason to take the security for myself.”
