Joint statement of Pak-India foreign secretaries

 Islamabad, June 24 (KMS):  The second day of India’s talks with Pakistan has concluded in Islamabad. Today was devoted largely to the issue of Kashmir. Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao and her Pakistani counterpart Salman Bashir  were scheduled to hold separate press conferences but decided at the last minute to meet reporters together.

Shawl welcomes Pak-India foreign secretaries level talks

London, June 24 (KMS): The Executive Director of Kashmir Centre London, Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl has welcomed the Foreign Secretaries level talks between Pakistan and India.

Advani opposes enforcement of pre-1953 arrangement in IHK

New Delhi, June 24 KMS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has warned the government of launching forceful agitation across India if any attempt was made under international pressure to enforce the pre-1953 arrangement in occupied Kashmir which gave the territory a separate Constitution and flag.

Jammu, June 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, by a local court  has sent to jail a so-called member of Indian Parliament and his brother, facing conspiracy charges in the murder of a cement tycoon.

Srinagar, June 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Hurriyet leaders including Syed Ali Gilani, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik and Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi have welcomed the recent statement on Kashmir by the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon.

10% Indian Army men have chronic kidney diseases: study

New Delhi, June 24 (KMS): In India, a study by medical specialists revealed that about 10 percent apparently healthy Indian Army personnel have been found to have symptoms of chronic kidney disorder and over 37 percent troopers have abdominal obesity.

6 civilians injured in Sopore blast

Srinagar, June 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, at least six civilians including a woman were injured in a grenade blast near a police station in Sopore town, today.

India, Pakistan to have relaxed visa system soon

New Delhi, June 24 (KMS): India and Pakistan will soon have a relaxed visa system that will facilitate easier travel for journalists, businessmen, children and senior citizens.
