Nine Kashmiri detainees shifted to jails outside valley

Srinagar, January 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities have shifted nine illegal detained Kashmiris to different jails outside the Valley.

JKPM discusses current situation of occupied Kashmir

Srinagar, January 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) in a meeting held in Jammu, with its Chairman Ghulam Ahmad Mir in chair, discussed the current situation and continued human rights violations by Indian troops in the territory.

Shifting of detainees outside valley denouced

Srinagar, January 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the shifting of illegally detained Kashmiris by the authorities from the jails of Kashmir Valley to the jails in Jammu region has widely been denounced.

The veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, in a statement issued from New Delhi described the action as political vendetta aimed at subjecting the detainees to physical and mental torture. He gave a call for peaceful protests in the occupied territory on Friday after Juma prayers and complete shutdown on 7th of February to protest against the move.

Hurriyet leaders pay homage to martyred youth

Srinagar, January 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders have paid rich tribute to a Kashmiri youth, Wamiq Farooq, on his second martyrdom anniversary. Wamiq was killed after being hit by a teargas shell of Indian police near Rajouri Kadal on January 31, 2010.

Martyrs’ sacrifices have globalised Kashmir dispute: JKLF-R

Srinagar, January 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front-R, Farooq Ahmad Dar has said that the Kashmir dispute has been internationalised due to the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs and the Indian government cannot suppress the liberation movement through use of brute force.

‘Peace to elude South Asia without Kashmir settlement’

Srinagar, January 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt has said that peace will continue to elude South Asia until the Kashmir dispute is resolved in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

Continued siege of Gilani’s Hyderpora residence denounced

Srinagar, January 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the forum patronised by the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, has condemned the siege of the residence of the veteran Hurriyet leader at Hyderpora in Srinagar.

CISF invokes AFSPA in killing of Kashmiri student

Srinagar, January 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Indian Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has invoked the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) to get the bail of its five personnel arrested for the killing of a youth, Altaf Ahmed Sood, in Boniyar on January 2, this year.

Chilai Kalan ends but chill continues in IHK

Srinagar, January 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the 40-day period of harshest winter known as Chilai Kalan ended on Tuesday but the Kashmir Valley continues to be under cold conditions.
