Kashmir is a disputed territory: APHC

Srinagar, February 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference has termed the statements of Indian Defence Minister AK Antony and National Conference leader, Farooq Abdullah as far from reality and said that Jammu and Kashmir was an internationally recognised dispute.

Kashmiris’ inclusion in Pak-India dialogue process stressed

Jammu, February 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt has said that the Kashmiris’ inclusion in the dialogue process between Pakistan and India on Kashmir is imperative for its success.

India declines sanction to prosecute its troops

Srinagar, February 29 (KMS): The government of India has declined sanction to prosecute its troops involved in human rights violations including murder and rape in occupied Kashmir since 1990 till date.

This was disclosed by the Home Department of the territory in response to a query by a Srinagar-based human rights group, Coalition of Civil Society. The rights group had asked for the total number of cases where the puppet administration had applied for the sanction and also the status of each case. The Home Department has said that the administration had sought permission in 50 cases in the last two decades, but India had not given permission even in a single case.

India rejected all requests for troops’ prosecution since 90

Srinagar, February 29 (KMS): India did not give sanction for prosecution of its troops in any of the human rights cases including murder and rape since 1990 till date, implying that there is 100 per cent impunity under draconian Armed Forces Special Powers Act for the Indian troopers operating in occupied Kashmir.
