Peace in region linked to Kashmir settlement

Srinagar, April 11(KMS): The All Parties Hurriyet Conference has said that peace in the region can only be established by resolving the Kashmir dispute as per Kashmiris’ aspirations.

The APHC during its Executive Committee meeting held in Srinagar with Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in the chair, today, emphasised that the Hurriyet was in favour of friendly relations between Pakistan and India. However, it added that friendship between the two neighbourly countries could only be durable if an atmosphere was created conducive for the settlement of the Kashmir dispute by involving the true Kashmiri leadership in talks. 

‘Interlocutors’ report to be made public after CCS meeting’

Jammu April 11 (KMS): The report of the interlocutors on Kashmir would be made public after being reviewed by the Indian Cabinet Committee of Security (CCS), Indian Home Minister P Chidambaram said.

Srinagar, April 11(KMS): In occupied Kashmir, bodies of two persons were recovered from different parts of the Kashmir Valley.  

Body of 25-year-old youth was recovered from river Jehlum at Rampora Chattabal in Srinagar. “The body is in decomposed form which shows that it has been in water from over 10-15 days,” police official at Qamawari police station said.
