KCEU demands investigation of mass graves, repeal of black laws in IHK

Brussels, June 12 (KMS): The Chairman of Kashmir Centre European Union, Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo, addressing a press conference in Brussels, today has said that the efforts were on to impress upon the world community to convince India to allow investigation into mass graves, repeal all black laws including the Armed Forces Special Powers Act and to ratify the conventions against torture and enforced disappearances in occupied Kashmir. Protest sit-in outside press colony in Srinagar

Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a silent protest sit-in led by President of International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Forum, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo was held at the Press Colony in Srinagar on Monday.

Kashmiris being subjected to brute force in IHK: Speakers

Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Indian government and its occupation authorities are subjecting the Kashmiris, especially youth and students, to brute force to suppress the ongoing liberation movement.

Complete shutdown observed in occupied Kashmir

Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed, today, to mark the commencement of Martyrs Week to remember the Kashmiri martyrs including those 122 innocent youth who were shot dead by Indian troops and police personnel during mass uprising in the territory in 2010.

Call for observance of the Week had been given by the forum patronised by the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani. All shops, business establishments, educational institutions, banks and courts remained closed while traffic was off the road.

APDP stages sit-in protest in Srinagar

Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the members of Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP) have demanded whereabouts of their relatives disappeared in custody of Indian police and troops.

The APDP members staged the monthly sit-in protest at Pratap Park in Srinagar. They were carrying placards and photographs of their dear ones who had been subjected to custodial disappearance during the past 23 years.

Int’l probe into mysterious killings in IHK demanded

Srinagar, June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the forum patronised by the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, has expressed serious concern over the recent mysterious civilian killings in the territory demanding an impartial probe into these incidents.

HR bodies urged to help in release of Kashmiri detainees

Srinagar, June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir the Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir (JKML) has appealed to the OIC, Amnesty International, Asia Watch and other human rights organizations to use their influence for the release of illegally detained party leader, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo and other detainees languishing in different jails for the past several years.

Big pro-liberation rally held in Shopian

Srinagar, June 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people at a big rally in Shopian, today, reaffirmed their resolve to continue the liberation movement till the inalienable right to self-determination is secured.

APHC leaders, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Zafar Akbar Butt and Yasmeen Raja addressed the rally, which was participated by thousands of people. They paid glowing tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs particularly those who were killed during peaceful demonstrations in the uprising of 2010. The addresses by the APHC leaders were punctuated by full-throated pro-liberation and pro-Pakistan slogans.

APHC-AJK to hold seminar on Monday

Islamabad, June 08 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyet Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chapter (APHC-AJK), is organising a seminar On Monday to remember and pay homage to the 122 youth martyred in occupied Kashmir by Indian troops and police personnel during the peaceful uprising in 2010.
