Dozens of Hurriyet leaders arrested in IHK

Srinagar, June 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Indian police arrested dozens of Hurriyet leaders and activists including Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Zafar Akbar Butt, Yasmeen Raja, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash and Javed Ahmad Mir to prevent them from proceeding towards the UN Observers Office in Srinagar, today.

The APHC leaders were intercepted by the police near Pratap Park when they were peacefully marching to submit a memorandum addressed to the United Nations Secretary General.

Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed, today, to mark the commencement of Martyrs Week in memory of all Kashmiri martyrs including those 122 innocent youth who fell to the bullets of Indian troops and police personnel during the mass uprising in the territory in 2010.

Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed, today, to mark the commencement of Martyrs Week to remember the Kashmiri martyrs including those 122 innocent youth who were shot dead by Indian troops and police personnel during mass uprising in the territory in 2010.

Call for observance of the Week had been given by the forum patronised by the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani. All shops, business establishments, educational institutions, banks and courts remained closed while traffic was off the road.

Complete shutdown in occupied Kashmir

Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed, today, to mourn the killing of 122 youth martyred by the Indian troops and police personnel in 2010 mass uprising in the territory.

The authorities have placed Hurriyet leaders including, Syed Ali Gilani, Shabbir Ahmed Shah and Zafar Akbar Butt under house arrest.

Big pro-liberation rally held in Shopian

Srinagar, June 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people at a big rally in Shopian, today, reaffirmed their resolve to continue the liberation movement till the inalienable right to self-determination is secured.

APHC leaders, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Zafar Akbar Butt and Yasmeen Raja addressed the rally, which was participated by thousands of people. They paid glowing tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs particularly those who were killed during peaceful demonstrations in the uprising of 2010. The addresses by the APHC leaders were punctuated by full-throated pro-liberation and pro-Pakistan slogans.

Complete shutdown in Kashmir on Monday

Srinagar, June 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown will be observed on Monday to mark the start of Martyrs Week in memory of all Kashmiri martyrs including 122 innocent students, who fell prey to Indian brutalities during 2010 uprising in Kashmir.

Call for observance of the Week has been given by the forum patronised by the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani. The veteran leader, while chairing the meeting of his forum in Srinagar said that India had turned Kashmir into a large prison by deploying hundreds of thousands of army troops and police personnel in every nook and corner of the territory to stifle the voice for freedom.

Srinagar, June 04 (KMS): The veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that the unresolved Kashmir dispute is taking toll on economy as well as education in occupied Kashmir.

Complete shutdown observed in occupied Kashmir

Srinagar, May 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed, today, to pay glowing tributes to the two women who were abducted, molested and subsequently killed by men in uniform in Shopian on this day in 2009.

 All business establishments and educational institutions remained closed while traffic was off the road. Call for the strike was given by the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani and senior APHC leader Shabbir Ahmad Shah.

On the other hand, the occupation authorities placed veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Zafar Akbar Butt under house arrest to prevent them from visiting Shopian, today, to express solidarity with family of the victims.

Shutdown marks anniversary of Shopian incident

Srinagar, May 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed in Shopian town, today, to mourn the killing of two Kashmiri women Neelofar and Aasiya who were abducted, molested and subsequently killed in the town, three years ago.
