J&K never remained part of India: JKSM

Srinagar, June 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt has said that the Jammu and Kashmir has never remained part of India but India has forcibly occupied it.

Zafar Akbar Butt addressing a party meeting in Srinagar strongly condemned the statement of Congress leader, Makhan Lal Fotedar wherein he had termed Jammu and Kashmir’s accession with India as final and unconditional.

He said that the Kashmir dispute existed in 1947 when Indian troops invaded and forcibly occupied it. He said that the United Nations had passed several resolutions for settlement of the dispute which yet to be implemented.

Expressing serious concern over the plight of illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders and activists in jails, he said that they had been deprived of fundamental facilities in the prisons.

The APHC leader appealed the world community and international human rights organisations to impress upon India to stop its continued rights abuses in the territory and immediately and unconditionally release all the illegally detained Kashmiri political prisoners.
