Qazi Yasir released on parole in IHK

Srinagar, June 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities ordered the release of Ummat-I-Islami, President and religious scholar, Qazi Yasir on parole, following the death of his uncle, today.

Yasir’s uncle, Qazi Aman passed away after suffering from a brain haemorrhage late last night. The deceased was also the younger brother of martyred prominent pro-freedom leader and religious scholar, Dr Qazi Nisar.

The puppet Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah told media men that Qazi Yasir had been released on parole to attend the last rites of his uncle Qazi Aman in Islamabad on Humanitarian grounds.

Yasir was booked under draconian law, Public Safety Act, during last year’s mass uprising and was shifted to Kot Bhalwal Jail, Jammu. Though his PSA was quashed by the High Court early this year but was slapped with fresh PSA and was currently lodged in Central Jail, Srinagar.
