AI team informed about Indian state terrorism in IHK

Srinagar, April 18 (KMS) (KMS): In occupied Kashmir pro-liberation leaders have said that the people of Kashmir were being subjected to worst state terrorism by Indian army and police to suppress the Kashmiris’ just struggle for freedom.

The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front-R leaders including Vice Chairman Rasikh Khurshid and liberation leader Javed Ahmad Mir in their separate meetings with the visiting members of the Amnesty International in Srinagar, complained that hundreds of youth including students and children were detained by Indian army and police personnel under black laws like Public Safety Act over the last two years in the occupied territory.

The Kashmiri leaders brought into the notice of the Amnesty team the unjust killings of several youth by Indian army during the current year.

The two-member Amnesty International’s team comprised Sahana Basavapatna and Saptarsahi Mandal.

Meanwhile, around 50-member delegation of the High Court Bar Association of occupied Kashmir, headed by its chairman Mian Abdul Qayoom, called on the AI team in Srinagar. 

The Bar members urged the team to use its influence for the constitution of an international crimes tribunal to conduct probe into enforced disappearances, unmarked graves and human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.
