Shutdown in Pampore against arrest of youth

Srinagar, April 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed for the second consecutive day, today, against the arrest of youth in Pampore town.

Indian police and paramilitary personnel raided many houses in Pampore to arrest the youth for participating in peaceful protests during 2008 and 2010 mass uprising.

“The police and paramilitary personnel barged into the houses and ransacked the household goods,” the locals told media men, condemning the action.

People had staged demonstrations against the arrest, the other day. One person was injured when the police personnel resorted to brute force to disperse the demonstrators.
