CRPF deploys 4,000 troops in Chhattisgarh for anti-Naxal operations
New Delhi: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has deployed four battalions comprising over 4,000 personnel in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region to launch a “decisive battle” against Naxalites.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops will be deployed in remote areas of Dantewada and Sukma districts, and will set up forward operating bases to secure the area and facilitate development work.
The CRPF has already created 40 such bases in Chhattisgarh over the last three years. The operation will be supported by armoured vehicles, UAVs, dog squads, and communication sets.
