Kashmir case should be brought to international forum: Mushaal

Islamabad: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organisation and wife of jailed Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has said that there will be no negotiations with India and the case of Kashmir should be brought to the international forum as freedom is the fundamental right of Kashmiris.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mushaal Hussein Mullick speaking to the media after the meeting of the National Assembly’s Special Committee on Kashmir Affairs said today was the second meeting of the Kashmir Committee and under the committee, two committees related to human rights and law were formed.

She said there is an urgent need for an emergency plan related to Jammu and Kashmir. She said Pakistan’s important role in Kashmir’s freedom movement is to promote its narrative at the global level.

Mushaal said apart from the genocide of Kashmiris, India is also settling its citizens in the occupied territory to change the demography of the territory. She said Kashmiri Hurriyat leadership is currently detained in jails or under house arrest.

She said the so-called elections are being conducted in occupied Jammu and Kashmir as the sham elections are no substitute to the plebiscite guaranteed by the United Nations and the international community.

She said the media should actively expose India and all illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists must be released.

Mushaal Malik said Yasin Malik’s case is under hearing in the court and the next hearing of the false case filed against him will be held on September 15.
