Vivek Bali voices solidarity with IIOJK people in pursuit of dignity and rights
Srinagar: Vivek Bali, a senior politician from Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, has called for immediate restoration of the territory’s statehood and the protection of people’s rights.
According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking at a press conference in Srinagar, Bali expressed unwavering support for the residents of IIOJK in their quest for statehood, emphasizing the need for their voices to be heard and dignity restored.
“Restoring statehood is not just a political necessity; it is a fundamental right of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” Bali asserted. He criticized the prolonged delay in reinstating statehood, noting that it has not only hindered effective governance but has also left citizens feeling alienated and overlooked. “We demand that the Indian government fulfill its promise to the people of J&K without further delay,” he stated.
Bali highlighted the critical importance of statehood for the region’s socio-economic development and the empowerment of local governance. He pointed out that the absence of a fully empowered government in IIOJK has stifled progress in key areas, including infrastructure, employment, and public welfare.
“The people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve a government that understands their challenges and actively works towards their betterment,” Bali emphasized. He warned that the ongoing wait for statehood is fueling increasing frustration among citizens, making it imperative for the government to act promptly.
