Over 150 Injured in firecracker storage explosion in Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram:More than 150 people were injured, with over eight in critical condition, after a firecracker storage facility caught fire at a temple in Kasaragod, Kerala, on Monday night.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the horrific incident occurred near Naleswaram as a large crowd had gathered for the annual Kalayatham Utsav at the Anjuthambalam Veerakabu temple. The explosion in the fireworks storage led to the tragic events that unfolded.
The injured were immediately rushed to hospitals in Kasaragod, Kannur, and Mangaluru for treatment. Police reported that the condition of eight individuals is particularly serious following the explosion. Fireworks had been arranged for the celebration and were stored in the facility where the explosion occurred.
