AJK PM greets KJF newly-elected office bearers
Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Anwarul Haq has congratulated the newly-elected office-bearers of Kashmir Journalists Forum and appreciated their positive role in the continuity of democratic process in journalistic organizations and provision of accurate information in the society.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq has sent his congratulatory message to the newly-elected President of Kashmir Journalists Forum Sardar Irfan Saduzai, General Secretary Maqsood Muntazar Sufi, Senior Vice President Iqbal Awan, Danish Irshad, Finance Secretary Sardar Imran, Information Secretary Ali Hasnain Naqvi and other office-bearers and expressed his best wishes for them.
The Prime Minister said that the government and the people of the base camp of the Kashmir freedom movement welcome democratic attitudes, practices and traditions in the institutions of civil society, especially when there are deliberate attempts to distort the society and damage ideological thoughts through fake news, only authentic journalists and media can fulfill the duty of disseminating accurate information.
He said in comparison to Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, there is complete freedom of expression in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and there is a coordinated system for the welfare of journalists, which is actually the fruit of the democratic society of Azad Kashmir.
He expressed the hope that the newly elected officials would come up to the expectations of their voters.
Meanwhile, APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi and other Hurriyat leaders have also congratulated the newly elected office-bearers of the Kashmir Journalists Forum (KJF). In a statement, they emphasized that journalism is a sacred profession, placing significant responsibility on the new leadership. They hailed KJF as a strong voice for journalists and commended its efforts in highlighting the Kashmir issue effectively. The Hurriyat leaders expressed confidence that KJF will continue to amplify the voices of oppressed Kashmiris globally and expose India’s state terrorism to the world. KMS
