Four dead, two missing in Kishtwar road accident
Jammu: Due to the dilapidated road conditions, four more people were killed and two others missing in a traffic accident in the Kishtwar district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the accident occurred when a local camper vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge at Gwar Massu, Padder area of Kishtwar.
Officials said that a rescue operation is going on in the area and more details are awaited.
Traffic accidents have become a frequent tragedy in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, primarily due to poor road conditions, overloading, and a lack of proper traffic management. In recent months, several deadly accidents have claimed numerous lives, particularly in hilly areas like Kishtwar, Doda, and Ramban, where narrow and poorly maintained roads are a common hazard.
