‘14,956 kanal in Jammu, 6,745 kanal in Valley occupied in name of Industrial Estates’
Srinagar: The authorities have occupied 14,956 kanal and 15 marla of land in Jammu and 6,745 Kanal and 19 Marla in Kashmir valley, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, in the name of Industrial Estates.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chaudhry, responding to a question raised by Ali Mohammad Dar, informed the House that intents have been placed for an additional 9,661.05 kanal in Jammu and 5,000.13 kanal in Kashmir for future industrial expansion.
Highlighting the focus sectors under the J and K Industrial Policy 2021-30, Chaudhry said Education and Skill Development are key areas of investment. These sectors are also part of the Service Sector Positive List under the New Central Sector Scheme (NCSS) 2021, issued by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
