Huge Indian force backed by commandos, drones & sniffer dogs conducting operation in Kathua
Jammu: Indian forces deployed huge forces backed by commandos, drones and sniffer dogs during cordon and search operation in Kathua district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmri Media Service, the operation continued on second day, today, in several areas including in the dense jungles of Kathua district, officials said.
The additional deployment of commandos, drones and sniffer dogs on Monday morning as the Indian army, CRPF and Special Operations Group forces carried out searches in the dense nursery , the police said.
A police team from the Special Operations Group initiated the search operation. When the personnel entered the area, they came under heavy fire, leading to an intense gunfight that lasted for more than half an hour.
Reinforcements were dispatched to aid in the operation, as a manhunt was launched to apprehend the attackers.
There has been no report of any casualty in the initial firing. The area was kept under a tight security cordon throughout the night before Indian forces moved in from different directions at first light on Monday, officials said.
Meanwhile, Indian forces during another operation have claimed to have recovered arms and ammunition after busting a hideout in Utrusoo Sungalan forest area of Islamabad district on Monday.
