Indian CRPF officer dies, 2 STF men injured in separate IED blasts in Jharkhand & Chhattisgarh

Chaibasa/ Bijapur: An injured Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) sub-inspector succumbed to his injuries in disturbed Jharkhand state.

According to Kashmir Media Service, CRPF officer injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district succumbed to his injuries, officials confirmed.

Sub-Inspector Sunil Kumar Mandal and Head Constable Parth Pratim Dey of the CRPF 193rd battalion were injured in the blast, which occurred in the forest area of Marangponga under Chotanagra Police Station limits on Saturday.

Meanwhile, two Special Task Force (STF), personnel were injured as Maoists triggered an improvised explosive device (IED) to blow up a vehicle the forces were travelling in Bijapur district of violence hit Chhattisgarh state.
