IIOJK workers deprived of pending salaries on Eid despite repeated demands

Srinagar: Unlike Azad Jammu and Kashmir, where all regular and daily wage workers receive a salary in advance on important occasions like Eid without any demand, workers in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir continue to be deprived of even pending salaries despite repeated appeals and protests.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Employees Joint Action Committee Jammu Kashmir (EJAC) in a statement issued in Srinagar called on the occupation authorities to release the pending salaries of employees and wages of all the temporary workers before Eid.

EJAC President Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam said that the auspicious day of Eid is fast approaching and yet the hundreds of employees and temporary workers are without salaries and wages despite their repeated requests for the release of their earned salaries and wages.

He added that these employees have always been on front line to combat any calamity and non payment of earned salaries and wages is quite injustice not only with them but with their families as well.
