India has created climate of fear through intensified operations in IIOJK: DFP
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party has strongly condemned harassment of people by Indian troops during intensified cordon and search operations across Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a statement issued in Srinagar, the DFP spokesman Advocate Arshad Iqbal said the surge in the ongoing search operations, nocturnal raids and arbitrary arrests of political activists by Indian forces have created a climate of fear in the occupied territory.
Referring to recent raids conducted in different parts of the valley and CASOs in Jammu region, he said, these operations are aimed at terrorizing and silencing the freedom-loving Kashmiris.
“Such wicked attempts cannot deter Kashmiris from pursuing their collective cause of right to self-determination for which they offered immense sacrifices”, the spokesman said.
The DFP also voiced concern over the deteriorating health condition of party’s incarcerated chairman Shabbir Ahmed Shah and other Kashmiri prisoners who continue to languish in different Indian jails.
Seeking early release of all political prisoners, the DFP spokesman urged the world human rights bodies to take effective notice of the matter and help secure early release of all illegally Kashmiri detainees.
The Jammu and Kashmir Young Men’s League (JKYML) in a statement strongly condemned the intensified searches and raids conducted by Indian forces on the Srinagar-Jammu highway and various districts of occupied Kashmir, including Srinagar, Kupwara and Bandipora. A JKYML spokesperson decried the harassment of innocent civilians during these operations, terming them a deliberate attempt to spread fear among freedom-loving Kashmiris.
