Hindu extremists attack two Muslim drivers in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: Members of the far-right Hindutva extremists and cow vigilantes assaulted two Muslim men in the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh state of India.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the members of Hindutva group Bajrang Dal beat the two Muslim drivers, accusing them of smuggling cows. A video surfaced showing the men being beaten with their faces covered, while the attackers forced them to chant ant-Muslim slogans. The incident has sparked widespread outrage.

Cow vigilantism in India has been on the rise over the past decade, particularly in states governed by the right-wing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). These attacks often target minorities, especially Muslims.
