President, PM reaffirm support for Kashmir, Palestine in Eid messages

Islamabad: President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the nation, urging people to implement the lessons learned during Ramadan in their daily lives by promoting unity, compassion, and social harmony.

President Asif Ali Zardari in his Eid-ul-Fitr message congratulated the nation and the Muslim Ummah on this joyous occasion. He emphasized that Eid is a divine reward following the month of fasting, prayers, and spiritual purification during Ramadan.

The president also urged people to remember those facing economic hardships, stressing that true happiness lies in sharing joy with others. He encouraged the payment of Zakat, Sadaqah, and Fitrana to ensure that no needy person is deprived of Eid celebrations.

President Zardari expressed his solidarity with the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, praying for their freedom and the opportunity to celebrate future Eids in peace.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in his Eid-ul-Fitr message extended heartfelt greetings to the Pakistani nation. He emphasized that Eid is a day of gratitude, brotherhood, and compassion, reminding people to uphold the values of piety, patience, and sacrifice even after Ramadan.

The prime minister urged the nation to remember oppressed communities worldwide, particularly the people of Palestine and Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, who continue their struggle for freedom. He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for their cause and called on the international community to take action against human rights violations.
