Lack of public transport irks Srinagar residents on Eid

Srinagar: The residents of Srinagar city and adjoining areas are facing severe difficulties due to the lack of public transport, exposing the myth of development in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, commuters have voiced their frustration, stating that they are unable to visit relatives and friends for the festive occasion. Several residents also expressed disappointment over the inadequate transport facilities.

“We are unable to go and meet our loved ones because there are no vehicles available,” said one local, adding that people, especially from poor backgrounds, are facing serious difficulties. Only a few local buses are running, making it extremely challenging for people to travel, particularly during Eid.
