New Delhi: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi has strongly protested against the controversial Waqf Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha, lower house of Indian parliament, calling it unconstitutional and tore up the controversial bill.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Asaduddin Owaisi protested against the Bill introduced by the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Lok Sabha, saying that this bill is unconstitutional and the BJP wants to create division in India in the name of temples and mosques.

“I condemn it and request you to accept the 10 amendments that I have proposed in this bill,” he said, adding “If you read history, you will see that Gandhi had said about the laws of white South Africa that my conscience does not accept it and he had torn up these laws, I am also tearing up this law like him.” He further said that this bill is also a violation of Articles 25 and 26 and is injustice to Muslims.

Asaduddin Owaisi said the bill aims to humiliate Muslims in India and the BJP aims to humiliate Muslims and create controversy in the name of temples and mosques.
