‘US-India SMR deal raises security concerns for Pakistan, China’

Islamabad: The Holtec deal proves that Washington is using India as a pawn against China at the cost of South Asian stability and Pakistan’s national security

According to Kashmir Media Service, the US approved Holtec International to transfer Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology to India, partnering with Larsen & Toubro and Tata Consulting Engineers.

2024 reactor pact arms India despite its radioactive scandals—Pakistan faces fallout from Washington’s reckless nuclear favoritism disguised as strategic alignment against China.

Holtec’s export of mini-reactors enabled a volatile regime with unchecked ambitions; Pakistan’s sovereignty now stands exposed under America’s flawed power projection model.

Trusting India despite decades of radioactive thefts fuels proliferation, undermines regional stability and leaves Pakistan burdened with the consequences of global double standards.

Reported Cases of Nuclear Material Thefts, Smuggling, Missile Errors and Radioactive Leaks in India are attached as Annex-A.

America’s transactional diplomacy legitimizes India’s dual-faced nuclear posture—aggression under the veil of deterrence, threatening peace across borders and pushing the region toward crisis.

The US-India SMR deal hands nuclear power to a reckless state. India’s history of thefts, smuggling, and missile misfires now endangers all of South Asia.

Holtec’s reactor transfer to India strengthens a country plagued by nuclear chaos. U.S. policy abandons stability, turning Pakistan into a frontline state in Cold War 2.0
