Muslim cleric Agha Syed Abdul Baqi passes away in IIOJK
Srinagar: Prominent cleric and custodian of Astana Haji Syed Hassan, Nabdipora, Srinagar, Agha Syed Abdul Baqi Rizvi, passed away in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, this morning.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Agha Syed Abdul Baqi Rizvi was a towering religious figure in the Kashmir community. He was revered for his deep piety, humility, and unwavering dedication to religious and social causes. He played a significant role in guiding the community, particularly in times of social and spiritual need. He was 90 years old.
He is survived by four sons and a daughter and was the father-in-law of senior APHC leader Maulana Masroor Abbas Ansari. He will be laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard, Baba Mazar, Zadibal, later in the day.
