Indian forces raid, search houses of THK leaders in IIOJK
Srinagar: Indian forces raided the houses of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leaders in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian police raided and searched the house of jailed Tehreek-e-Hurriyt leader Bashir Ahmed Butt alias Peer Saifullah in Zadoora area of Pulwama.
Peer Saifullah is presently lodged in Tihar Jail, New Delhi.
Police also raided the house of another Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leadr Mohammad Ashraf Laya in Bararmulla.
During the search police harassed family of jailed leader Peer Saifullah and seized house and bank documents including books, letterheads, pamphlets and letters.
The Indian authorities, headed by New Delhi-installed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, are targeting the Hurriyat camp for supporting the UN-acknowledged right to self-determination and demand for azaadi from Indian subjugation.
During the house raids and search operations, besides ransacking households, the police asked the families to prevent Hurriyat activists from raising demand for right to self-determination or otherwise be ready to face the consequences.
Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference spokesman, Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar denounced the continued house raids and harassment across occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The spokesman said that Indian BJP govt and its regime in IIOJK cannot suppress the Kashmiris’ sentiments for freedom through harassment and intimidation.
