Indian forces arrest two Kashmiri youth under PSA in Doda & Kupwara

Jammu: Indian forces arrested two Kashmiri youth in Doda and Kupwara districts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir under the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA).

According to Kashmir Media Service, one youth, identified as Mohammad Rafi Sheikh—a politically active resident of Phagsoo village in the Chenab Valley of Doda district—has been detained under the PSA and shifted to District Jail Udhampur.

The occupation authorities alleged that Rafi was involved in anti-India and pro-freedom activities, claiming his arrest followed the issuance of detention warrants by the district magistrate.

However, legal observers note that in recent years, Mohammad Rafi has emerged as a visible figure in local politics and grassroots civic activism. His consistent presence in public discourse and participation in demonstrations have made him a recognizable civic actor in the region.
