Srinagar: Indian police raided the house of a Hurriyat activist in Baramulla district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, acting on the orders of New Delhi-appointed Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, police raided and searched the residence of Masqood Allie, a resident of Chakloo, Baramulla, who is associated with the pro-freedom organization Muslim League. Authorities claimed that the raid was conducted in connection with the investigation of a case registered under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

During the raid, police claimed to have seized six posters of the Muslim League, one membership card, one Lava keypad phone with a SIM card, one Samsung smartphone, two USB pen drives, and Rs 30,000 in cash.

It is pertinent to mention that Indian forces have intensified raids on Hurriyat leaders and activists across IIOJK, harassing families and seizing bank documents, mobile phones, and other valuables. During these house raids and search operations, police is also pressuring families to discourage Hurriyat activists from raising their voices for freedom from Indian subjugation.
