All educational institutions to remain closed in Ramban tomorrow
Jammu: All government and private educational institutions, including schools, colleges and technical educational institutions, in Ramban district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed tomorrow (Monday) in view of the inclement weather.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Deputy Commissioner of Ramban, in a post on X said: “In view of inclement weather and heavy rain causing flash floods, all government and private schools, colleges and technical education institutions of the district shall remain closed on 21.04.2025. Stay indoors, stay safe!”
Earlier in the day, a cloudburst triggered flash floods near Chenab Bridge in Dharamkund area, leaving three people dead and causing significant damage to several houses.
Around 90 to 100 people trapped in the flooded area were rescued safely by police teams, while relief and assessment efforts are still underway.
