APHC-AJK pays rich tributes to Sheikh Ghulam Hassan in Islamabad

Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter organized a condolence meeting in Islamabad, today, to pay rich tributes to senior leader and member of the Kashmir freedom movement Sheikh Ghulam Hassan alias Kranti, who passed away recently in the Vitrgam area of Sopore in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK leaders and others attended the condolence meeting led by Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi and paid rich tributes to Sheikh Ghulam Hassan for his invaluable services and sacrifices for the Kashmir freedom movement.

Ghulam Muhammad Safi in his address described Sheikh Ghulam Hassan as a selfless and sincere leader. He said that Sheikh Ghulam Hassan had dedicated his entire life for the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people. “His tireless work, perseverance and unwavering determination are a shining example for freedom-loving Kashmiris. He played a key role in taking the freedom movement forward even in difficult circumstances. He will always be remembered for his principled stand,” he added.

The participants of the meeting said that Sheikh Ghulam Hassan was a courageous and principled leader who always sacrificed personal interests for the great cause of the freedom movement. With his death, the Kashmir freedom movement has lost a sincere leader, they lamented. They termed the sacrifices of the late leader as a beacon of light for the Kashmiri youth.

At the end of the meeting, special prayers were offered for the eternal reward and higher ranks of the late Sheikh Ghulam Hassan and all other Kashmiri martyrs.

The Hurriyat leaders reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue the martyrs mission till taking it to its logical conclusion at all costs.
