Fire destroys two-storey residential house in Ramban’s Banihal
Jammu: A massive fire broke out in Kaskoot village of Banihal in Ramban district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir completely gutting a residential house belonging to three brothers Jahangir Ahmed Najjar, Adil Ahmed Najjar, and Shafqat Ahmed Najjar.
According to Kashmir Media Service, locals said the fire quickly engulfed the two-storey structure consisting of 15 rooms, causing extensive damage. They added that all belongings and household items were completely destroyed in the blaze.
An official from the Fire & Emergency Department of Banihal said two LPG cylinders inside the house exploded during the blaze. He said this intensified the fire and left nothing behind.
No casualties have been reported in the fire incident.
Authorities are assessing the damages and the cause of the fire is being investigated, officials added.
