Hindutva groups attack madrasa, assault students in Sangareddy

Sangareddy: Hindutva groups attacked a madrasa and assaulted students in Telangana’s Jinnaram village of Sangareddy district and also set parts of a dargah on fire.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the right wing members accused the students of Taleem ul Quran located in Jinnaram village of vandalising two Shiva idols, attacked the institution and assaulted the students and teachers.

Reportedly, during the attack, several students and teachers were hit and threatened to be harmed further.

Police reached the spot and dispersed the miscreants. However, the goons marched towards Hazrat Gharib Shah Wali, a shrine nearby, set parts of the shrine on fire and defaced the chadar offered to the shrine.

Madrasa management and local Muslims condemned the attack and staged protests demanding action against the perpetrators.

Complaints were filed by Madrasa Management and Dargah Committee. A separate complaint was also filed by a mosque located in the area.
