Srinagar: Indian police conducted raids at 63 locations across Srinagar district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, the searches targeted the residences of Hurriyat leaders, human rights defenders, and pro-freedom activists. The Indian police claimed the raids were carried out in connection with investigations under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
Local residents reported that during the raids, women and children were harassed, and several individuals were subjected to intense questioning. They said such searches and harassment have intensified following the Indian-orchestrated false flag incident in Pahalgam, which has led to the arrest of thousands of Kashmiris and the demolition of dozens of homes.
