Protest in Srinagar demands end to harassment of Kashmiri students across India
Srinagar: A protest was held in Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, against the rising incidents of harassment faced by Kashmiri students in various parts of India following the Pahalgam incident.
According to Kashmir Media Service, students from different schools and colleges participated in the protest, demanding an immediate end to the targeting of Kashmiri students across the country. The demonstration was also supported by the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Indian National Congress.
Protesters carried placards condemning the harassment and assaults on Kashmiri students, calling for action against those responsible.
In the first six days following the Pahalgam incident, at least 17 cases of violence and intimidation against Kashmiri students have been documented in various Indian states. The protestors stressed that such acts not only endanger the safety of students but also reflect the deepening hostility towards Kashmiris in India.KMS-10U
