Pre-dawn blasts jolt Srinagar & Jammu amid escalating Indo-Pak tensions

Srinagar: A series of powerful pre-dawn explosions rocked the cities of Srinagar and Jammu in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) early Saturday, heightening fears amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.

According to Kashmir Media Service, multiple loud blasts were heard around 4:30 a.m. in Jammu city, which has since been plunged into a total blackout.

Similar explosions were reported from various parts of Srinagar, triggering widespread panic among residents. Indian officials confirmed that the explosions occurred near vital installations, including Srinagar Airport, prompting emergency sirens to blare across the city.

Electricity has been cut off in major parts of the Kashmir valley, deepening the atmosphere of fear and uncertainty.

According to one report, at least 14 explosions were heard across Srinagar overnight.

Earlier, Indian defence sources said that key military and strategic installations were targeted by Pakistani drones, including Srinagar Airport, the Awantipora Air Base, Nagrota, Jammu, Pathankot, Fazilka, and Jaisalmer.
