APHC AJK lauds Pakistan’s swift, effective response to Indian aggression
Islamabad,: The leadership of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Pakistan Armed Forces for their immediate and decisive response to Indian provocations.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, General Secretary Parvez Ahmad Shah, senior Hurriyat leader Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, and others, in their separate statements also strongly condemned the Indian aggression and the deliberate targeting of innocent civilians, including women, children, and sacred sites, in blatant violation of international laws and human rights.
The Hurriyat leaders lauded the professionalism, bravery, and patriotic spirit displayed by the Pakistan military in successfully executing Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs, calling it a remarkable demonstration of military excellence. They stated that the courageous soldiers of Pakistan not only foiled India’s aggressive designs but also showcased their unmatched strength and capabilities before the world. They expressed satisfaction that Pakistan’s armed forces responded with timely, bold, and decisive action, effectively neutralizing the enemy’s hostile plans.
The Hurriyat leaders affirmed that the successful operation was not only a strong guarantee of Pakistan’s security and sovereignty but also a source of great encouragement and morale for the Kashmiri people. They welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India and reiterated that meaningful dialogue, under international mediation at a neutral venue, remains the only path toward lasting peace in the region.
The leaders emphasized that the recent ceasefire must be followed by sincere and focused diplomatic efforts by Pakistan to secure a just and lasting resolution of the Kashmir dispute. They appreciated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent address in which he outlined the Indus Waters Treaty and the Kashmir issue as key agenda points for any future talks with India, calling it a step in the right direction. “This is how victories achieved on the battlefield are solidified at the negotiation table,” they stated.
The Hurriyat leaders reiterated that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have rendered countless sacrifices over decades in pursuit of their right to self-determination. They urged the international community, particularly the United Nations, to ensure the implementation of its resolutions so that the Kashmiri people can determine their political future in accordance with their aspirations.
They expressed solidarity with the families of all martyrs and those injured as a result of Indian aggression in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Azad Kashmir, and Pakistan. They prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and the swift recovery of the injured. The Hurriyat leadership also appealed to the global community to take serious notice of India’s belligerent actions and play its role in ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region.
Meanwhile, the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has very warmly welcomed the ceasefire announcement by India and Pakistan brokered by the US after the four days long dreadful air strikes and missile attacks between the two rivals.
The JKLF chief spokesman, Muhammad Rafiq Dar, in a statement issued in Islamabad termed the role played by US President Donal Trump as commendable. He said the act has not only averted the imminent threat of losing precious lives and properties of millions of people living in India, Pakistan and Jammu Kashmir but has also provided them a fresh chance to realize the necessity of the just resolution of conflicts.
He appreciated President Trump for expressing his resolve to work for a Kashmir solution. As a powerful and influential world leader President Trump can reach a solution while taking all the stakeholders including Kashmiri people into confidence, he said.
