Global outreach a damage-control move after failed Operation Sindoor narrative, Congress admits

New Delhi: The Indian National Congress has termed the Modi government’s global outreach on failed Operation Sindoor as a damage-control exercise after its narrative around the issue collapsed.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said, “This shows the government’s narrative has been punctured. Suddenly, the Prime Minister — who did not chair any all-party meeting, did not call a special session of Parliament despite the Congress’ repeated requests, and remained silent on US President Donald Trump’s repeated claims of mediation — has decided to send an all-party delegation to various countries.”

He stated that President Trump is claiming for the seventh time that he mediated the India-Pakistan ceasefire and offered trade incentives, yet the Prime Minister remains silent.

Jairam Ramesh said the government’s diplomacy had failed, and both the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister had avoided responding to Trump or his Secretary of State, Marco Rubio’s statements. “This multi-party delegation is merely a damage-control exercise after the government lost control over the narrative,” he added.
