Rally held in Jhelum Valley to highlight Kashmiris’ plight at global level

Muzaffarabad: A rally was organized in Jhelum Valley today under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir to highlight the plight of Kashmir on international level besides demand for plebiscite.

According to Kashmir Media Service, a large number of citizens participated in the rally while chanting Anti-India and pro- freedom slogans.

Pasban-e-Hurriyat Chairman Uzair Ahmed Ghazali speaking on the occasion said it is time for the United Nations to resolve the lingering Kashmir dispute and establish peace in South Asia.

He opined if Kashmir gets the right to self-determination, lasting peace will be established in South Asia and reiterated that Kashmiri people want freedom, justice and peace. “Peace in South Asia is linked to the freedom of Kashmir”, he added.

He stated that the UN Security Council should fulfill the promise of plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that India should know that the Kashmiri people want freedom.

Shaukat Javed Mir said that India should learn a lesson after the success of the Battle of Bunyan-um-Marsoos.

Usman Ali Hashim said that civilized countries of the world should take steps to resolve the Kashmir dispute before long.

Syed Faisal Gillani said people of Azad Kashmir are ready to stand with the armed forces of Pakistan for the freedom of occupied Kashmir.

People in the protest demanded the United Nations Security Council to implement its resolutions on Kashmir for peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute.
