SIA launches coordinated raids across multiple districts in IIOJK
Jammu: New Delhi-controlled State Investigation Agency (SIA) conducted a series of coordinated raids across several districts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, the operation, which spanned Poonch, Rajouri, Ramban and Udhampur districts, saw the SIA, along with Indian paramilitary forces and police, raid at least 18 locations.
Twelve of the 18 locations raided were in the Surankote sub-division of Poonch district, with three more took place in the Haveli tehsil of Poonch. Additional searches were carried out in Rajouri town, Ramnagar in Udhampur, and the Ramban district.
A statement issued by the dreaded SIA said that the meticulously planned raids were executed simultaneously by specialized teams, with support from Indian paramilitary and police forces.
During the crackdown, important documents, bank papers, mobile phones and laptops were seized, while residents of the raided homes were subjected to intense interrogation.
While the occupation authorities claim that such operations are designed to curb pro-freedom activities, but Kashmir watchers argue that there true objective is to suppress dissent and instill fear among the local population.
