APHC-AJK extends Eid-ul-Adha greetings to Muslim Ummah
Islamabad: All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has extended heartfelt Eid greetings to the Muslim Ummah, especially the Muslims of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the imprisoned leaders and workers of the Hurriyat Conference on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, General Secretary Advocate Pervez Ahmed Shah and Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Butt in a joint statement in Islamabad said, “Eid-ul-Adha reminds us of the great sacrifice, dedication, brotherhood and piety of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS).”
They said this same spirit teaches us to make every kind of sacrifice for the freedom of the homeland, the glory of the religion of Islam and the support of the oppressed.
They appealed to the Kashmiri people to include their destitute brothers, widows, orphans, disabled, families of martyrs and relatives of prisoners in these moments of joy and happiness.
They said, “Our real Eid will be complete only when we include our brothers and sisters who have made unparalleled sacrifices for the glory of religion and the homeland in our joy.”
The Hurriyat leaders paid tribute to illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and the territory for their steadfastness, sacrifices and unparalleled bravery, saying that Kashmiris will never forget their great sacrifices.
They reiterated their resolve to continue all possible political, legal and diplomatic efforts for the honorable release of all political detainees.
On this occasion, they also extended heartfelt Eid greetings to the millions of people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the government of Pakistan, and all political, social and religious parties of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir and thanked them for their selfless and continuous support to the Kashmir freedom movement at the political, diplomatic and moral levels for the past seven decades.
The Hurriyat leaders said Pakistan’s constant support is a source of strength for the oppressed Kashmiri nation. “We value this eternal relationship and pray that this brotherhood becomes stronger,” the maintained.
The Hurriyat leadership appealed to the Islamic world to play its role in resolving the lingering Kashmir dispute in its historical, human and Islamic context and to give the Kashmiris their birthright to self-determination.
