Hindutva goons brutally assault Dalit woman sarpanch, her husband in Rajasthan
Jaipur: Hindutva goons brutally assaulted a Dalit woman sarpanch and her husband in the Dadwana district of the Indian state of Rajasthan while they were supervising the construction of a road.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident took place on June 8 in the village of Kharesh in the district.
The goons attacked the Dalit woman sarpanch and her husband with an axe. The leader of the attackers, Bhanwar Singh, taunted the Dalit couple for their caste and attacked them with an axe.
A video of the incident has also gone viral in which Bhanwar Singh can be seen attacking the couple with an axe, some women can also be seen trying to stop Singh and snatch the axe from his hands.
Bhanwar Singh has claimed that this road is being built by occupying his land. Police have registered a case in this regard and Bhanwar Singh is currently absconding.
Dadwana district SP Hanuman Prasad says that it is actually a land dispute, a road is being constructed near the house of Bhanwar Singh, he says that his land is being occupied.
The attack has sparked outrage on social media as users expressed serious concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Rajasthan.
