Kashmiri students injured in Israeli airstrike on hostel in Tehran

Mirwaiz, Mehdi call for urgent relocation and evacuation of students

Srinagar: Several Kashmiri students were injured when Israeli airstrikes hit a hostel housing the students in Tehran, Iran, on Sunday.

According to Kashmir Media Service, senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed concern over injuries to the Kashmiri students in the Israeli strikes.

In a post on X, Mirwaiz said, “Deeply disturbing news coming from Iran of a hostel housing Kashmiri students being hit by an Israeli airstrike.”

He said that over 1,300 Kashmiri students have been pursuing education in Iran and are now living in “great fear for their lives”, while their families in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir remain in deep anguish.

Mirwaiz urged to the authorities to intervene urgently to ensure their safety and well-being and possible return. He also extended prayers for the safety of all Kashmiri students.

“May Allah protect them all and grant relief to their anxious families. Let’s all pray for their safety and for the safety of all people living in Iran from Israeli
aggression,” he added.

Meanwhile, National Conference leader Agha Syed Ruhullah Mehdi in a post on twitter disclosed that the Israeli strikes hit Hujat Dost Ali hostel in Tehran, housing many Kashmiri students. Some sustained injuries. He called for their urgent relocation within Iran and evacuation.
