No compromise on national defense and security: DPM Ishaq Dar
Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed that there will be no compromise on Pakistan’s defense and national security and stated that India’s aggression was met with a befitting response, and any future provocation would be dealt with in the same forceful manner.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Ishaq Dar while addressing a session of the Senate stated that Pakistan knows how to respond to aggression, and has already demonstrated this in action against a major adversary.
He emphasized that Israel does not have the courage to act against Pakistan, and that the Pakistani nation remains united. Declaring Pakistan’s nuclear program as a national trust, he stressed that it was achieved through immense sacrifices and will be protected at all costs.
Senator Dar underlined that Pakistan’s foreign policy is based on principles and national interest, and that the country will continue to defend its sovereignty without yielding to any internal or external pressure.
Referring to the recent regional tensions and the spread of misinformation on social media, he noted that during the recent standoff with India, fake news and doctored videos were circulated to mislead the public. He assured that the Ministry of Information and relevant institutions are actively working to counter disinformation.
He further said that while Pakistan gave a strong response to India, it also acted as a responsible state. He reiterated that Pakistan is not only fully prepared for its defense but is also committed to playing a constructive role for peace and stability in the region.
