Srinagar: The heavily militarized territory of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir remains under an unrelenting siege as the Modi-led Indian regime intensifies its crackdown through daily cordon and search operations, house raids and arbitrary checks.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian army, paramilitary and police personnel continued their search operations and house raids across the Kashmir valley and parts of Jammu region, turning the territory into an open-air prison.Poonch and Rajouri districts are special targets of Indian forces.
Besides Jammu-Srinagar highway, the forces’ personnel also conducted checking wayfarers and vehicles on roads in Srinagar, Baramulla, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Islamabad, Kulgam, Pulwama, Kathua and other districts of the territory.
During search operations, people are harassed and questioned.
Additionally, Indian forces’ personnel have intensified restrictions in Srinagar, Islamabad, Ganderbal and other areas of the occupied territory in the name of security for Amarnath Yatra. Indian troops, who have been deployed in large number, have also intensified searches and frisking, particularly in different areas of Srinagar, Ganderbal and Islamabad districts.
