India abandons Iran-Tehran must rethink ties with New Delhi

New Delhi: India, which has long portrayed itself as Iran’s strategic partner, has refused to support Tehran during the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict. New Delhi’s persistent silence and covert activities amid Israeli aggression against Iran have exposed the hollowness of this so-called friendship.

According to Kashmir Media Service, India’s proximity to Iran was never based on genuine partnership but was rather a calculated move to undermine Pakistan’s influence in the region. India exaggerated its cooperation in projects like the Chabahar Port to project strategic depth, but quietly backed off when Iran came under international pressure.

During Israeli aggression on Iran, India chose silence over solidarity and prioritized its ties with Tel Aviv. India’s refusal to condemn Israeli aggression clearly indicates its tilt towards the Western and Israeli blocs, a stance that has dented its credibility in the Muslim world.

Reports of India’s notorious intelligence agency, RAW, cooperating with Israel against Iran further reveal New Delhi’s malicious intent. Iran has arrested 72 Indian spies providing sensitive information to Israel. Iranian security agencies have linked India’s espionage operations to the identification of Israeli targets within Iran.

India’s covert role in destabilizing Iran demonstrates that its foreign policy is guided by opportunism rather than principles. India’s complete silence on the Iran-Israel conflict at the G7 summit underscores its increasingly irrelevant position on the global stage.

Iran must seriously reconsider its relations with India, a country that has repeatedly used Tehran as a pawn in its regional games against Pakistan. India’s duplicity proves it is not a trustworthy partner for any sovereign and loyal ally.
